The Twin City Knockers Roller Derby League are taking on the Northshore Lethal Ladies of Mandeville Saturday, April 11, at the Bossier Civic Center, 620 Benton Rd, Bossier City. Doors will open at 6pm and the game will begin at 7pm. This is the first home bout of the season for the Twin City Knockers.

The Knockers previously played the Lethal Ladies in February and won 262 to 138.

Tickets for this full contact, un-choreographed game are on sale now, both locally and online through brownpapertickets.com. Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the door, and children under 12 receive free admission with an adult.

Every Twin City Knockers home bout features support for a local charity, and this season the Knockers are supporting the local Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse (CADA) of Northwest Louisiana. CADA provides education and rehabilitation services to persons of all ages who suffer from alcoholism or other addictive diseases.Knockers Logo

Amy “Cherry Lola” Touchette, A Blocker for TCK stated, “The CADA does amazing work for the community, and we’re excited to give them a little something back in return.”

Part of the proceeds for each home bout will go to CADA this season.

Roller derby has grown massively in the past few years and currently boasts numerous leagues worldwide. The Twin City Knockers has captured the heart of fans all across Shreveport-Bossier, proving there is growing interest in this competitive sport. The league is currently in its fifth season and has seven home games scheduled. The league is constantly recruiting skaters, volunteers, referees, and of course, fans.
