I will destroy you.
Nothing you know about you
Will be the same
After me.
You will not cease to exist,
But the you that was, will disappear.
I will fill you up,
Inundating and overwhelming every inch of you
Until I split you open,
Tear you apart,
Leave your illusions disguised as identity burning,
All assumptions ashes,
Your flimsy structures of thought
Reduced to rubble,
You will be helpless
Against my animal conviction.
My actions allow no questions,
Reaction is your only recourse,
You are bent to my will.
My howl fills your darkness,
Tears away the comforting blanket of night,
Chilling you with a sudden awareness of your vulnerability,
As in Eden,
You are naked in your fear.
I am everywhere and nowhere,
Invisible in my ubiquity,
The accelerating thump of your heart
Brings the inevitability of me ever nearer,
With each panicked breath
Piercing your quivering lips,
I am closer to you.
I have become the night,
Embodying the mystery,
My concept beyond your comprehension.
I am the wolf,
My unwavering eyes
Menacing glowing yellow orbs
On the midnight hillside,
Glistening teeth in the darkness,
The low, guttural hum of my growl
Hanging on my heavy breath,
The sight of my prey consuming my being,
Ensnared by your scent,
I will stop at nothing until
You are mine.
I will devour you,
The pain and permanence of your transformation inescapable.
Your story will now be only of
How you have sustained me,
You are part of my definition,
Abdicating all rights to any but a
Supplemental role,
You will quell my momentary desire,
Your blood, your flesh, your heat
Enough to stay the hunt for one more night,
All parts of you, every aspect of
Your existence will be digested or discarded,
As I seek the next.
