It’s no secret that one of the most high-energy bands in Shreveport is Star Chamber which won two Shreveport competitions — Music Prize in 2017 and Band Wars in 2018 — in just their first year or so under their current name, having previously gone by “Factory” since 2011.

The band would be delivered a blow in 2019 as lead singer Amanda Tamaccio was diagnosed with breast cancer, which she fought through the pandemic. After “making cancer [her] bitch”, Amanda and the band played reunited on stage for a concert in 2021 which rocketed the band back to local popularity, spurring more local shows and took the band to Lafayette and Baton Rouge.

In September of 2022, the band released an EP called “Sucker Punch” which is available on Spotify and Apple Music which includes four tracks: the titular “Sucker Punch”, “No One Cares”, “Jack Frost” and a cover of Fastball’s “The Way.”

Their rock anthem style hearkens back to another local band, Hydrogen Child, but with a bit more punk and a whole lot less giving a f—. Which is exactly why we love this video so much. Watch the music video for “No One Cares” below.
