Meadows Museum of Art will be a sort of paisley park on Sat, July 14, 11 am to 3 pm, says Sean FitzGibbons, new director of the museum.
Introduction by Sean FitzGibbons:
The museum will host an all-ages party with hot dogs, music and so on.
The ghost of the late writer Tom Wolfe, author of Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test, will hover in the upstairs exhibit rooms. There you will find art inspired by the day-glow 70’s.
Thom Johnson:
Says artist Thom Johnson, “chill out with our matinee presentation of the movie ‘Go Furthur.’ See dreamy art by Joshua Chambers, Paige Powell and Thom Johnson. Bring the kids and get mindful with Little You Yoga. Shiver Shack Shaved Ice will cool us all down until 1:30 with their delightful treats. This every-age event is free and open to all. Make the day!”
Joshua Chambers:
FitzGibbons is proud of the fact the recent Museum Crawl sold out and that a re-branding of Meadows Shreveport is underway. Be sure to get the new swag: “318 Art M,” in stickers and pins.
