In New Orleans a well-attended second line celebrated the passing of music mensch Prince. In Shreveport three nights of screening Prince’s Purple Rain, essentially a retelling of his early life, will provide a gathering point for fans.

The screenings are limited and cannot be extended to additional dates, according to the RFC Facebook page:

Each pre-show will feature the best of Prince’s live performances and music videos. Tickets are $7.50 and can be purchased online at www.robinsonfilmcenter.org or at the box office by calling 318.459.4122.
