Great Raft Brewing is the first brewery to open its doors and sell a pint of beer in Shreveport since Prohibition. On that historic day of October 15, 2013, a pint of Reasonably Corrupt Black Lager was sold at Zocolo Neighborhood Eatery and Drinkery. Since that tasty first sip, Great Raft has continued to produce an amazing product and consequently provides SBC with something they can really be proud of. Spreading out from our corner of the bayou state to almost all of Louisiana, they’ve also helped put our region back on the map, and in a big way.
Great Raft routinely holds charity supporting events and partners with multiple organizations to build a unique and diverse community of Real Beer drinkers. With that said, the brewery is without a doubt hosting events this week in honor of American Craft Beer Week, May 11 – 17.
