According to John Kay of Denham Springs, Louisiana, there will be an 18 wheeler and large enclosed trailer donated by Acadiana Energy and Shreveport Limousine to take supplies to the 7,000+ displaced residents of south Louisiana.
“Let’s fill them up and blow it out,” wrote Kay on Facebook.
Below are three opportunities for SBC to give what’s needed most:
Monday: Strawns parking lot on Airline drive in Bossier. We will be manning the station from 5:00 PM until 6:30 PM
Monday & Tuesday: Red River Brewing Company, 1200 Marshall Street, Shreveport from 11 AM until 1 PM
Tuesday: Zocolo parking lot in Ashley Ridge on Shreveport. The station will be manned from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM.
Weekdays: Acadiana Mortgage on Benton Road in Bossier. The station will be manned from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM Monday through Friday.
As Kay wrote, “New items are preferred so they can be used immediately without going through a cleaning process.”
Chairs, blankets, and pillows are most needed.
